Hi. I’m Andrea Ancer Leal, a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and a registered nurse (RN) currently in graduate school to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). More specifically, I am someone that empowers unaligned clients to remove self-limiting beliefs, find their story, and realign internally. I have worked in the mental health field for 8 years and combine my social work psychotherapeutic training with nursing to address mental health needs holistically.
I believe mental wellness and resilience are vital components to living a fulfilling and authentic life and it takes empathy, self-awareness, and human connection to help others uncover their story. I strive to help my clients rediscover authenticity and worthiness, as they work to address mental health imbalances including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and trauma. I use a variety of techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), stress management, inner child work, mind/body connection, mood management, anxiety reduction, empowerment, and work/life balance.
When I am away from practice, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, or being outside and active.
