Shaterria Warren is a board certified Nurse practitioner in Psychiatry. She graduated cum laude with her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston .Her experience in mental health care began 10 years ago at the state support living centers throughout South Texas, where she treated patients of all ages with various mental illnesses.

During her extensive time as a certified mental health nurse she worked in the intensive care psychiatric units treating those with aggression, psychosis, severe manic symptoms in addition to depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and other mental health disorders.She then moved on to medical psychiatry where she cared for patients with various medical illnesses like stroke, traumatic brain injury, sepsis, COVID-19 in addition to their mental health disorders. With the inclusion of medical psychiatry to her background she is able to incorporate medicine and mental health for more effective treatment as well as better patient outcomes.

In addition to her professional experience, she is a loving wife and mother of 3 who enjoys fitness, health and family time.Her special interest lies in women’s health including reproductive psychiatry and the psychological support of the every day woman. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau honor society of nursing. Her supportive and therapeutic style assists in helping give strength and confidence back to her patients.
